Woods Edge Nature Preschool is a nature-infused, early learning school for children ages 3- 6 years-old. Our school is open full days, year-round to provide working parents a safe place for their children each day.
Our whole child teaching approach and daily outdoor experiences offer high-quality learning experiences that lay the foundations for future academic success in reading, literacy, writing, math, science, creative arts, and social studies.
Children learn the importance of being responsible for themselves, their environment, and respect others, while forming close friendships in a supportive classroom community.
Woods Edge Nature Preschool serves the community as a nature discovery school for preschool age children. Children will learn about nature through their daily interactions in our outdoor classroom, while gaining an appreciation and understanding for environmental science topics. Conversations arise when children begin to wonder, how a plant grows, the age of trees, where animals in the forest live, where rain comes from, and other curious inquires.
Children will learn through the connecting our lessons to the world God has created through actual found-in-nature objects, planting our school community garden and other seasonal collaborative projects. Children will gain content knowledge as they participate in their daily activities that promote learning in a multi-discipline approach as they move towards kindergarten readiness.
At Woods Edge Nature Preschool, our goal is for children to develop a love for the world around them, an awareness of friendship and building relationships in the school and community, while gaining a sense of joy in becoming lifelong learners.
